Machangulo is a very remote destination and it takes some effort to get there. If driving, a 4×4 vehicle is essential, as you will travel through the Maputo Special Game Reserve to reach Kanimambo. It is possible to fly into Machangulo, either by small charter plane or helicopter, from Maputo airport. Alternatively, a speedboat transfer from Maputo harbour is available.

There is limited Internet connectivity via Vodacom (local sim card required) or alternatively in the Machangulo office.

Machangulo is a malaria area so you will need to take the necessary precautions. Maputo is the closest Mozambican city to Machangulo.

Children are permitted but the property is not suitable for young children and infants. Please note you must climb stairs – bedrooms are accessed by wooden walkways and stairs with no balustrades which could be slippery when wet.
